I came across the following link when searching for reviews of Brian McLaren's book 'Generous orthodoxy'. It's important to me to try and get some feel for what Christians are thinking out there even though it makes me angry at times.
If any of you have read the book (I reccomend it), click on the following link to get a text book example of how fear can cause us to think in 'shotgun like' terms instead of 'rifle like' logic.

wow. some of those guys have a really impressive vocab! i don't think i can tell the difference between propositional truth and truth itself.
the dialogue is certainly heating up. i saw a lot of posts related to this on the NKOC blog the other day (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nkoc/
something about the "dialogue" feels much like a missionary that attacks the new culture in which he finds himself, judging it based on the culture he came from.
